MY BIO
Hello! My name is Daryllynn Salyer! I’ve been transforming looks and lives in the beauty industry since 2009. My fascination with beauty started when I was about 5 years old, watching my mother put makeup on in the bathroom before we went out to dinner. I was amazed at how beautiful she was and I wanted to look like her! But I didn't right away. In high school, I discovered a love for fine arts. I learned to draw, paint and sculpt; I learned photography, weaving, printmaking and color theory. I experimented a lot with my hairdos and makeup leading to some very interesting looks! Feel free to ask me about them! Soon after, I attended Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts, where I enjoyed learning in a few classrooms but, ultimately solidified my desire to pursue a career in beauty! My first stop was makeup school. I graduated Makeup Artist Studio in Richmond, Virginia with a certification for the Makeup Masters Program which includes, makeup artistry, character makeup, prop and wardrobe styling in the media of film, print, video and bridal. I also received a certification for individual eyelash extensions. My next stop was cosmetology school at Dominion School of Hair Design in Gloucester, VA.
After graduating, I refined my craft as an assistant to a master stylist and soon after that l was assigned my own chair! For more than a decade, I've been honing my skills, continually attending advanced training sessions and building a reputation of making every client look and feel their best. Six years ago, I took my career to the next level by opening my own studio, where I now specialize in hair color, highlights and balayage!
My approach to hairstyling is rooted in my desire to enhance my clients' natural features flattering their bone structure and creating styles that make them feel confident and beautiful! You can expect a relaxed, professional and personalized experience where your input is always valued and your needs are always met. My passion lies in the transformation process, watching the glow of satisfaction when you look in the mirror!
I currently live in Williamsburg, VA with my wonderful husband and our sweet dog, Suzie Q. Some of my hobbies include, being outside under the sun, birdwatching, laying on the beach, off-roading in my Jeep, working out or going on a impromptu adventure with my husband!
